I tutored beginning to intermediate Spanish at Young Harris College for two years. I had high scores in both critical reading and writing on the SAT (my total score was 1600), and I had good grades in my English classes in college. I want to become a tutor in writing because I feel that high schools do not adequately prepare their students to write on the college level. I want to help students, especially high school juniors and seniors, feel prepared for college level writing.

I've been reading above my grade level and writing stories for as long as I can remember. Writing, and writing well, has been a long-time passion of mine. Although my preferred field to write in is fiction, fantasy, and the like, I have experience in technical writing. My greatest desire as a tutor is to work myself out of a job. I hope to make students feel secure in their skills, prepared for the college level.
