I believe it is my responsibility as an educator to maximize my students' potential. I understand how challenging it is to become an independent learner, because I have worked as a teacher for some time, and also because I am studying to take the GRE and to attend graduate school, becoming a student again myself. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology and communication from Vanderbilt University. In addition to education, I am fascinated by social marketing and healthcare, and how marketing can create positive behavioral changes. I want to instill my own love of learning in my tutoring students, and I enjoy helping my students reach their short-term and long-term academic goals. I started tutoring years ago in high school. I worked with middle schoolers, and in the following years, I've also worked with young children in elementary school, as well as high schoolers and adults, to improve their coursework in nearly every academic subject: reading comprehension, writing skills, math, social studies and sciences, and standardized test prep. I have even taught English as a Second Language through a local refugee center. I want my students to love learning, because that will help them continue learning more throughout their lives.
